I worked as an archaeologist for 20 years, mainly in the Middle East but also South America and the Mediterranean. In 2005 I felt it was time to return home and a friend living in the Cotswolds asked me to grow fruit and vegetables in her kitchen garden.
Sowing and growing my first tomatoes was an incredible experience and at that point I decided to change career. In 2013 I joined the Rosemoor Garden Team working in the potager and kitchen garden.
Growing fruit and vegetables is immensely rewarding and there is always so much to learn. At the moment I am exploring vegetable seed saving and heritage vegetable cultivars - and some of the amazing stories behind them!.
