My purpose in life is to inspire non-gardeners to become gardeners, what better job could there be?
I can be in Liverpool one day and Salford the next. At the moment I am home-based because there isn't an RHS garden nearby for an office but I am very excited that the North West has been chosen as the location for the 5th RHS Garden, RHS Bridgewater in Salford, Greater Manchester, so one day I may have an office there. This year I have been working with three housing associations, to help them get their tenants involved with their green spaces and growing edibles. I have helped 20 schools to design and build a school garden exhibit at the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park. I visited many schools to help and advise on how to set up a school garden and helped to transform a grey, litter strewn patch of land in Cheetham into a beautiful garden. This year we are hoping to work with more young people on projects as we want to promote horticulture as a career to be proud of. I love to travel, I love everything about plants and my purpose in life is to inspire non gardeners to become gardeners and the best bit of all is that I continue to learn new things myself. So what better job could there be?

As there is only me, in the North West, it is a case of working out where we can have the most
